As a result of the adhesive closure strip being oriented transversely across the normally open end region of the bulk material product bag so as to be adhesively bonded to both the back and front sides of the bulk material product bag, the adhesive closure strip effectively closes and seals the open end region of the bulk material product bag. Handle structure can also be integrally incorporated within the adhesive closure strip.

摘要： A method of manufacturing flexible containers that are hermetically resealable. Each resealable container comprises a receptacle and a pair of plastic zipper strips. The zipper strips are flattened at the ends within the side seal regions and are joined to each other, without substantial deformation of the closure profiles, in respective transition areas substantially contiguous with the side seals. These transition areas of zipper strip joinder assist in providing a leakproof transition from the openable section of the zipper to the side seals, where the closure profiles are fused and flattened (i.e., crushed).

摘要： Flexible containers that are hermetically resealable after initial opening. The resealable containers are of a type that comprises front and rear panels (2a, 2b) forming an interior volume that is accessible by means of a resealable plastic zipper attached to the front panel (2a) only. Each zipper comprises a pair of extruded plastic zipper strips (6, 8) . The zipper strips (6, 8) are flattened and joined to each other at the ends and are further joined to each other, without substantial deformation of the closure profiles (10, 16) , in respective transition areas substantially contiguous with the flattened ends. These transition areas (114) of zipper strip joinder assist in providing a leakproof transition from the openable section of the zipper to where the closure profiles (112) have been fused and flattened (i.e., crushed) .

摘要： A security zipper is provided, which includes a consumer side zipper pair and a product side zipper pair, where each zipper pair is capable of secure mating. Between the zipper pairs is an intermediate flange pair which is layered with an adhesive as well as an adhesive enhancer to securely connect the intermediate flange pair. A slider is provided over the consumer side zipper pair, the product side zipper pair and the intermediate flange pair which mates the zipper pairs and connects the intermediate flanges so that the zipper is securely closed. A bag is also disclosed, which includes the security zipper and a connected product side pouch. In addition, a method for manufacturing the bag is disclosed.

摘要： A flexible bag having a reclosable zipper construction in which material is provided on the inside face of one or both zipper flanges that results in a weak seal area or an unsealed area when the side seals are made. The weak, seal area or unsealed area is located on the product side of the zipper closure profiles (22,24). Elevated pressure inside the bag will cause the weak seal area (20') of the side seal to fail as intended or will cause the zipper flanges in the unsealed area to separate, resulting in a venting action during cooking of the bag contents. For example, steam inside the bag can escape through the vent (30) or vents while the zipper remains closed. Preferably the bag has a bottom gusset (8) so that it can stand upright in a microwave oven. The bag may be opened to add contents, resealed and then heated.
