The data transmission apparatus is configured to assign a data transmission bandwidth to the at least one receiving device in at least one of the first zone and the second zone and to transmit an assignment signal to the at least one receiving device by means of which the data transmission bandwidth is assigned to the receiving device. The data transmission apparatus is configured to use the assigned first zone (320) or second zone (330) for both receiving and sending data to the at least one receiving device. Thus, the data transmission and signalling overhead in an OFDMA frame is reduced.
