摘要： A urinary incontinence device comprising a flexible but shape-retaining body portion is disclosed wherein the body portion has a longitudinal axis extending from an anterior end to a posterior end thereof. The body portion is elongated in the direction of the longitudinal axis and has a length and width sufficient to cover the vulva or retracted penis of a human female or male and to form a urine-receiving receptacle. The receptacle has a shallow urine directing portion sloping inwardly and downwardly away from the vulva or retracted penis, and a deeper, narrower central urine collection portion having a urine outlet. The receptacle is elongated in the direction of the longitudinal ax of the body portion. The device also includes an attachment flange having an anterior end and a posterior end corresponding to the anterior end and the posterior end of the body portion, respectively. The attachment flange is formed to extend outwardly away from the body portion, and it includes an adhesive thereon for securing the device to entirely cover the vulva or retracted penis of a human female or male.

摘要： A fluid drainage catheter (10) comprises a catheter tube (12) having a proximal (14) and a distal end (16) and a cylindrical wall (18) with a lumen (24) extending generally from the proximal to the distal end to permit the passage of fluid therethrough. The catheter tube is formed such that the proximal end has a closed tip for insertion of the catheter tube into a body cavity and the distal end has an opening for the drainage of from the body cavity through the lumen of the catheter tube. The cylindrical wall has an outer surface with at least one defined external flow path (26) extending generally in a longitudinal direction from a point in proximity to the closed tip to a point distally thereof. With this arrangement, at least one drainage eye (28) is associated with the defined external flow path and extends completely through the catheter tube from the outer surface to the lumen to permit fluid in the flow path to pass through the drainage eye into the lumen.

The male external catheter has a generally cylindrical body section, a drain tube section and the funnel-shaped neck section. A method of manufacture of such a catheter is also disclosed.

摘要： A rectal stimulation device for stimulating peristalsis includes a balloon having an interior, a squeeze bulb having an interior and an insertion portion having a distal end and providing flow communication between the interior of the squeeze bulb and the interior of the balloon. The balloon, the squeeze bulb and the insertion portion define a closed fluid system. The balloon overlies the insertion portion distal end. A fluid is disposed in the closed fluid system. The distal end and the balloon are inserted into a rectum of a user, and pressure is applied to the squeeze bulb to urge fluid from the interior off the squeeze bulb to the interior of the balloon to distend the balloon.
