    • The invention relates to a method for restructuring keratin fibers, whereby a keratin fiber is contacted with (a) an aqueous preparation of at least one polysulfide of formula (I), wherein R 3 represents hydroxy or the group (II), R 4 represents hydrogen or the group (III), A is a bond or a bivalent saturated or mono- or polyunsaturated aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, which can be substituted by one or more halogen, hydroxy or carboxy groups and whereby the shortest bond between the carbonyl groups adjacent to group A consists of up to 12 carbon atoms, and wherein R 1 and R 2 are the same or different and are selected from R 5 O- and (IV), wherein R 5 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, n is an integer of from 1 to 100, and whereby one or more carboxyl groups may be present in the form of one or more of its/their salts, and, either simultaneously or successively, a reducing agent, and then (b) with an oxidant. The invention also relates to preparations for use in the inventive methods.

    • The invention relates to a method for the permanent deformation of keratin fibres. According to said method, the fibres are treated with an aqueous preparation of a keratin reducing substance prior to and/or after a mechanical deformation, then after a certain exposure time, the fibres are rinsed with a first rinsing agent, fixed with an aqueous preparation of an oxidant, rinsed again after an exposure time and optionally treated again. Said method is particularly effective and kind to the fibres. The mixing and separation behaviour is improved if at least one of the two aqueous preparations or the first rinsing agent is in the form of a multiple phase system containing at least one oil component and at least one N-acyl glutamic acid or the salts thereof. The multiple phase system is converted into a homogeneous system for a given time period by a mechanical movement for application to the fibres and separates again during the re-formation of the multiple phase system.

    • The invention relates to a method for the long-lasting deformation of keratin fibres, whereby the fibres are treated before and/or after a mechanical deformation with an aqueous preparation of a keratin-reducing substance, said fibres are rinsed with a first rinsing product following a reaction time, they are then fixed by means of an aqueous preparation of an oxidation agent and are likewise rinsed after a reaction time, and optionally subsequently treated. The inventive method is especially effective and gentle if at least one of the two aqueous preparations or the first rinsing product is a two or multiphase system which contains at least one hydrophobic constituent selected from silicon oils and optionally fatty acid esters and fatty alcohol esters, dicarboxylic acid esters and dialkyl carbonates and the mixtures thereof, and which is transformed into a homogeneous system in order to be applied to the fibres by means of a mechanical movement.
