    • The invention relates to a security element with an optically variable structure having an embossing structure with linear embossing elements and a coating, wherein the embossing structure and the coating are arranged such that at least parts of the coating can be seen in full when viewing at right angles, but are covered when viewing at an oblique angle.     • The invention relates to a security element for a valuable document, such as a bank note, identification card or similar, comprising a transparent substrate.
