    • A transducer assembly for an offshore drilling riser (15) includes a spool (11) for connecting into the riser (15). Upper transducer bores (47) are spaced around the protrusion and extend from the upper sloping surface downward and inward into the spool bore (19). Lower transducer bores (119) are spaced around the protrusion (31) and extend from the lower sloping surface upward and inward into the spool bore (19). A base (51) of a rigid non-metallic material is located in each of the transducer bores (47). A seal ring (65) extends around a cylindrical exterior portion (53a) of each of the bases (51) and one of the transducer bores (47). An acoustic transducer element (71) is mounted to the outer end of each of the bases (51). The transducer assembly can easily detect the parameter of drilling fluid flowing through the spool bore (19) and form a tight sealing.

    • This invention has published a system and method for calculation of flow rate. The mentioned system contains at least two ultrasonic sensors, ultrasonic transmit receive device, and signal processing device. At least two ultrasonic sensors are installed on the pipe where the fluid is flowing through, and at least two ultrasonic sensors contain different ultrasonic beam paths, further, the ultrasonic beam paths of at least two ultrasonic sensors contain the overlap area. The ultrasonic transmit and receive device is used to actuate at least two ultrasonic sensors, and is used to transmit one or multiple ultrasonic signals to pipes via one or multiple of at least two ultrasonic sensors, further, to receive ultrasonic signal via at least two ultrasonic sensors. The signal processing device is used to process the ultrasonic signal received, further, to calculate the flow rate of the fluid precisely. The system and method of this invention could be applied to multiple domains, with high application value.

    • The present invention discloses a transmitting and receiving device for an ultrasonic system, which comprises a transmitter, a receiver and at least two switch circuits connected in series. The transmitter is coupled to an ultrasonic transducer and generates high voltage signals to the ultrasonic transducer during a transmitting mode. The receiver is coupled to the ultrasonic transducer via the at least two switch circuits and receives low voltage signals from the ultrasonic transducer during a receiving mode. The at least two switch circuits are configured to share voltage drop of the high voltage signals to isolate the high voltage signals during the transmitting mode and allow the low voltage signals to pass through during the receiving mode. It also discloses an ultrasonic system having the transmitting and receiving device.
