    • The present disclosure relates to a discharge lamp comprising a discharge vessel, electrodes extending into said vessel, wherein the fill includes an inert gas, a source of mercury, indium iodide, and a further halide component including a sodium halide, a thallium halide, at least one of a calcium halide and a strontium halide and at least one of a rare earth halide selected from the group consisting of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, and samarium, and combinations thereof. The lamp exhibits an improved color point, Dccy and CRI. More specifically, the invention provides a ceramic metal halide (CMH) lamp exhibiting improved color point, Dccy and CRI with little or no loss in other lamp performance parameters. For example, the lamp in accord with at least one embodiment of the invention exhibits excellent lumen output, lamp CCT, and efficacy, in addition to improved color parameters. In one embodiment, the lamp demonstrating these characteristics is a CMH lamp having low levels of indium iodide included in the dose thereof.
