    • A method' for checking the correct operation of a pre-cutting device (PC) in a plant for the production of logs of paper material, the device (PC) being provided with at least a first rotating element or first roller (RS) that interacts with a second element or counter-blade (FB) for forming, by means of at least one blade (RB), a succession of pre-cut lines on a ribbon of paper material, the method comprising the following operative steps: realization and assembly of the pre-cutting device (PC), with relative positioning and adjustment of said first (RS) and second element (FB); activation of the pre-cutting device (PC) with the measurement of the vibrations emitted relating to the interaction between said first and said second element; storage of at least a value or of a set of values relative to said measurement of the vibrations corresponding to an optimal or reference operating configuration of the device (PC); measuring, during the operation of said plant, the values of the vibrations emitted by the interaction between said first (RS) and second element (FB) and comparison with said value or set of values related to the reference operating configuration, with the emission of a signal if there is a non-correspondence between the detected value and the reference value or set of reference values.

    • Sharpening device for sharpening blades mounted on cutting machines, comprising two grinding wheels (2, 3) supported by respective movable supports (20, 30) adapted to move said grinding wheels (2, 3) from a standby or rest configuration in which the grinding wheels (2, 3) are positioned at a predetermined distance from the blade (4) to an active configuration in which the grinding wheels (2, 3) are in contact with a cutting edge (40) of the blade (4) and vice-versa along a predetermined trajectory (R2, R3). The movable supports (20, 30) are adapted to move said grinding wheels (2, 3) along respective arcuate trajectories, such that the contact of each grinding wheel (2, 3) with a respective side of the cutting edge (40) of the blade (4) is progressive, whereby the contact between the grinding wheels and the blade increases progressively when the device passes from the standby rest configuration to the active configuration.

    • Device for controlling the sharpening state of a blade (2) having a cutting edge (20) delimited by two sides (21, 22) converging towards a plane (X) that contains the cutting edge itself. The device comprises two control surfaces each of which is in contact with a corresponding side (21, 22) of said cutting edge (20) and is connected with at least one transducer (R1, R2, R4 ), which produces an electrical displacement signal (S1, S2; S4) proportional to a displacement of the control surface with respect to said plane (X). Furthermore, the device comprises a processing unit (E) that receives said displacement signals (S1, S2, S4) and compares them, emitting an error signal if the comparison produces a value that exceeds a predetermined limit. The processing unit is connected to means (101, 102) for supporting and moving sharpening means (100).
