摘要： The object of the invention is a luminescent molding compound, preferably a sheet molding compound (SMC) for a molding process at elevated temperature and pressure, comprising a thermosetting resin, transparent reinforcing fibers, a photoluminescent pigment dispersed in the thermosetting resin so as to form a homogenously pigmented SMC, a thickening agent, and optionally one or more of transparent fillers, thermoplastics, initiators for radical polymerization of the resin, inhibitors for stabilization of the compound and internal mold releases. A further object of the invention is a finished part obtainable by molding and curing the molding compound, which article has mechanical properties and luminescence sufficient e.g. for application in the equipment, especially safety equipment, of safety personnel, fire bπgades, police and the like.
