    • The electrical connector comprises a grommet-type joint (12), an insulating housing (13), for receiving at least one terminal (22) connected to a wire (24). The relative dimensions of the grommet-type joint (12) and socket (39) are such that, once introduced into the socket (39), the grommet-type joint (12) is compressed axially between the rear face (34) and the rear grid (18).

    • The invention proposes an electhcal connector assembly comphsing a connector (10) and a counterpart connector (40). The connector comprise a casing (20) for receiving electrical contacts and for being plugged with the counterpart connector and a locking member (30) slidably coupled to the casing and arranged for locking the connector to the counterpart connector. The plugging is operated by bringing the casing and the counterpart connector together according to a plugging axis x. The locking member comprises a stop member (31A) for abutting the connector against the counterpart connector when the casing is in a first position. The casing comprises a retaining member (21) for retaining the connector to the counterpart connector once plugged together in a second position. The casing comprises a releasing member (22) for releasing a stop member from its stop position when the casing is at a next third position. The locking member can then be freely moved towards a locking position where it locks the retaining member by preventing the latter to be released from its retaining position.
