摘要： A water control system (10) including a showerhead (14) and a tub faucet (12). The faucet (12) has a valve (22) configured to automatically restrict fluid flow through the faucet (12) and direct fluid to the showerhead (14) as a function of a parameter, such as a predetermined water temperature. The faucet (12) has many modes of operation, including a Reset Mode, an Auto-Divert Mode, a Bypass Mode, and a Cold Mode. One embodiment includes an auto divert tub faucet (12) that can be reset with less than 10 lbs of force (1lb=about 0,45 Kg) that is ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant. Another embodiment includes a faucet (12) configured to prevent hammering. Another embodiment includes a faucet (12) configured to prevent leakage over time, and another embodiment includes a universal adapter (210; 250; 260; 270) allowing the faucet (12) to be joined to the adapter (210; 250; 260; 270) without requiring hardware.
