摘要： A data input apparatus includes a motion measurement unit for measuring a motion of an object within a measurement range, and transmitting a measured image indicating the motion; and a signal processing unit for calculating rates of change in size of and in motion of the object, converting the calculated result into two-dimensional data, recognizing a pattern corresponding to the two-dimensional data, and generating pattern data corresponding to the recognized pattern. A data processing method using the apparatus includes measuring the motion of the object when an event of the motion of the object occurs within the measurement range; performing a signal processing on the measured image; calculating the rates of change; converting data corresponding to the calculated rates of change into the two-dimensional data; comparing the two-dimensional data with a pre-stored pattern information to recognize a pattern; and generating pattern data corresponding to the recognized pattern.
