A database unit stores scent data classified into major scent components and minor scent components according to the quantified amounts of scent chemical components. 摘要： As digital data broadcast is implemented with a digital TV (DTV) such as a two-way TV, various digital contents and application programs are available in the DTV. Therefore, there are demands for a new user interface input device and method in order to input the contents and control the application programs. However, conventional user interface input devices such as conventional remote controller used for convention TVs have problems in that the user interface input device cannot cope with the various input functions for plural application programs. Although various techniques for solving the problems are proposed, since objects of the techniques are to integrate various functions into a single remote controller for plural electronic appliances, the techniques are not suitable for a user interface input device in a digital TV having TV and PC functions. According to the present invention, there is provided an input processing device and method used for the user interface input device in a digital TV capable of providing an effective and convenient input function. The input processing device includes a character input processing function and a sound recognizing input function.
