    • The invention relates to a service module (7) for a series of electrolytic cells (2) which is intended for the production of aluminium by means of fused-salt electrolysis. The inventive module comprises (i) a frame (8) which can be fixed to a carriage (6) and (ii) a turret (9) which is mounted to the frame (8) such that it can pivot around a vertical axis A and which is equipped with: a set of tools including a tapper (11), a tipping bucket (12), at least one first anode clamp (13), and a chute (15) which is provided with a retractable conduit (16); and a balcony or cabin (18) comprising controls which are used to manoeuvre the module and the aforementioned tools and a driver's cab (19) from where an operator can actuate said controls. The module is characterised in that, in relation to a first plane P1 and a second plane P2 which are perpendicular to one another and to plane Pt of the turret (9) and which intersect at axis A, the centre C of the driver's cab (19) is located at a determined distance C1 from plane P1 and at a determined distance C2 from plane P2. In addition, the centre of the tipping bucket (12) and the centre of the anode clamp (13) are located on the opposite side of plane P1 in relation to the driver's cab (19). Moreover, the tapper (11) and the retractable conduit (16) are disposed between the driver's cab (19) and the row formed by the tipping bucket (12) and the first anode clamp (13).
