    • A blade (40a; 40b) for alternating electric saws (15) having two shanks (42a,-43a;42b, 43b), respectively one at each end of the blade. The shanks comprise connecting means for fitting the blade onto the saw. If the blade is used to cut objects of a thickness considerably less than the length of its central body (41), the blade becomes worn along an extremely short section of its length. When the teeth (44) of the blade are so worn that they can no longer cut, the blade can be detached from its seat in the saw, reversed and reattached using the shank at its other end to do so. In this way cutting operations can be resumed with the same blade but using those teeth not hitherto involved in cutting.

    • The invention concerns a photovoltaic prism obtained by assembling single photovoltaic modules of crystalline silicon joined together by their longer sides, so that the active surface lies inside the prism. The base of the prism, opposite to the aperture for entry of sunlight, is closed by a flat bottom, the colour of which is essentially white, that reflects the light entering the prism towards its internal walls so as to exploit the phenomenon of luminous diffusion. Lateral slits are cut in the lower perimeter to allow rainwater to be drained off. Orientation of the photovoltaic prism is controlled by a sun follower to ensure that the axis of the prism is kept constantly parallel to the sun's rays. Several photovoltaic prisms, preferably hexagonal in shape, can be assembled to form a honeycomb configuration oriented as above by a sin le sun follower.

    • A planar reconfigurable antenna that is capable of generating omnidirectional and directional radiation patterns over a wide frequency band or over multiple frequency bands includes a substrate, one or more pairs of conductive elements on at least one side of the substrate, a common RF feed point, and respective switches that selectively connects one or all of the conductive elements to the common RF feed point. An omni-directional radiation pattern is generated when all of the conductive elements are connected to the common RF feed point, while a directional radiation pattern is generated when only a pair of conductive elements on opposite sides of the substrate are connected to the common RF feed point. In the directional radiation mode, the conductive elements that are not connected to the common RF feed point act as a reflector for other conductive elements that are connected to the common RF feed point.
