摘要： A filter assembly including a filter head and two filter elements operably connected in parallel to the filter head for filtering fluid such as natural gas and other fuel gases. The filter assembly includes a filtering material for removal of sulfur compounds from the fluid being filtered; a first filtering material can be used for the removal of mercaptans and a second filtering material can be used for the removal of other sulfur compounds. The filter assembly includes various seals to inhibit leaking of liquid, specifically filtered liquid, from the connection of the filter elements to the filter head. The filter assembly is particularly useful for use in fuel cell systems.

摘要： Filter assemblies that manage the movement of gases and water to and from the anode and cathode of fuel cells. The assemblies are particularly suited for methanol and other liquid fuel sources for portable hydrogen fuel cells. 摘要： Integrated systems, including components for control of contaminants, sound, and humidity, are provided for a fuel cell system. The integrated system combines contamination control, sound control, and water management. The contamination control system provides filtration for the intake air that provides oxygen to the fuel cell cathode; materials removed can include sub-micrometer particulate matter, salts, oils, and chemicals. The sound control system reduces the level of noise emitted from the system by attenuating, resonating, or muffling the sound emitting from the air compressor used to move the air. The contamination control system can also provide security downstream of the compressor, by filtering the air to reduce the opportunity of lubricant from reaching the fuel cell. The water management system removes liquid water when excess is present. These systems are integrated in a variety of configurations to provide compact and thorough protection for the fuel cell.
