摘要： Compression transforming video into a compressed representation (which typically can be delivered at a capped pixel rate compatible with conventional video systems), including by generating spatially blended pixels and temporally blended pixels (e.g., temporally and spatially blended pixels) of the video, and determining a subset of the blended pixels for inclusion in the compressed representation including by assessing quality of reconstructed video determined from candidate sets of the blended pixels. Trade-offs may be made between temporal resolution and spatial resolution of regions of reconstructed video determined by the compressed representation to optimize perceived video quality while reducing the data rate. The compressed data may be packed into frames. A reconstruction method generates video from a compressed representation using metadata indicative of at least one reconstruction parameter for spatial regions of the reconstructed video.

摘要： Methods and systems for controlling judder are disclosed. Judder can be introduced locally within a picture, to restore a judder feeling which is normally expected in films. Capture time and display time of frames can be manipulated to obtain a desired amount of judder. Frames can be interpolated to obtain a film with a higher frame rate and localized control of judder.

摘要： Several embodiments of a personal display systems that comprises modular and extensible features to affect a range of user/wearer/viewer experiences. In one embodiment, the personal display system comprises a frame, said frame formed to fit and mount the head of a viewer; at least one optical piece, said at least one optical piece comprising at least a portion of a plurality of active emissive elements; at least one side piece, said side piece capable of being mated to said frame; and further wherein at least one said side piece comprising components sufficient to interact with images intended to comprise a view of said viewer. In another embodiment, a front piece may be mated to the frame of the personal display system wherein such front piece may comprise a transmissive portion affecting some form of modulation of the light being transmitted there through.
