    • A diaphragm pump (10) comprises a housing (12), a flexible reciprocatable diaphragm (18) provided in or on the housing (12) and defining a pumping chamber in the housing (12), an inlet port (24) and an outlet port (26) in the pumping chamber, a check valve to prevent reverse flow through the inlet port (24), and a drive member (28) for connection to a drive mechanism (30) for reciprocatingly moving the diaphragm (18).     • Holder apparatus (10) comprises an elongate holder bar (12), a holder element (18) which is slidably mounted on the holder bar (12) and which has a holder (24) for holding an item (30), and adjustment means (50, 52) for adjusting a position of the holder element (18) on the holder bar (12). The adjustment means (50, 52) has a user interface element (50) which is operable by a user to adjust a position of the holder element (18) on the holder bar (12), and the user interface element (50) is spaced from the holder element (18). Preferably, the adjustment means (50, 52) includes a drive element (52) which is in the holder bar (12) and which interconnects the interface element (50) with the holder element (18). Furthermore, the interface element (50) may preferably be retained at or adjacent to one end of the holder bar (12). The interface element (150) may include an epicyclic gear mechanism (194). Preferably, the holder apparatus is shower-head holder apparatus for holding and remotely moving a shower head (30).

    • A pumped shower drain system (10) comprises a shower base (12), a waste water unit (14) provided on the shower base (12) and having a waste water inlet (28) and a waste water outlet (30), and a reciprocating water pump (20) for pumping water from the waste water unit (14) to a drain (22).     • A shower waste device (10) for direct connection to an outlet of a showering surface, comprises an inner waste water chamber (12) having an outer side wall (22), a top (18), a bottom (20), a waste water inlet (24) in the top (18) for receiving waste run-off shower water directly from the shower tray, and a waste water outlet (36) for discharging to a drain; an outer shower water chamber (14) having an inner side wall (38), an outer side wall (40) which is spaced from the inner side wall (38), a shower water inlet (46) for receiving shower water being supplied from a shower water supply, and a shower water outlet (48) for shower water being supplied to a shower head via water heating means; and connection means (28, 30) for connecting the waste water chamber (12) to an outlet of a shower tray. The outer side wall (40) of the shower water chamber (14) surrounds or substantially surrounds the outer side wall (22) of the waste water chamber (12) so as to liquidly isolate the chambers from each other, and the outer side wall (22) of the waste water chamber (12) and the inner side wall (38) of the shower water chamber (14) are common. A water jacket for pre-heating supply shower water by run-off waste shower water is thus provided. A shower installation having such a shower waste device (10) is also provided.
