    • The present invention relates to a connector for flexible cable wherein the connecting parts of the even terminals and odd terminals are formed in an alternating fashion so as to intersect with each other to fit the center of rotation to the center part of a diagonal cross; the operating part of the terminals is divided into a rotation start section and a rotation end section; the rotation start section groove is deeply formed, whereas the rotation end section groove is relatively shallowly formed; and a stop (projection) is constituted so that the contact pressure is not reduced after meshing a rotor with the end section upon completing a 90° rotation. Accordingly, in the present invention, because the center of rotation is the same for the even terminals and the odd terminals, the same contact pressure is produced by the same rotational force, and because there is no difference in contact pressure between the even terminals and the odd terminals in a plurality of terminals and FPC/FFC, these can have the same contact reliability. Because the rotation start section groove of the operation part is deeply formed to facilitate the rotation of an actuator by about 90°, during the manufacturing process a worker can readily move the actuator closed by hand, the maximum contact pressure is held at the position where the rotation of the actuator is finished by the worker in the manufacturing process, and reduction of the contact pressure after finishing the rotation is prevented by the stop so that maximum contact pressure can be maintained continuously. In addition, because the "diagonal cross beam" structure allows the FPC/FFC to be deeply inserted to the maximum, the product can be configured to be slim.
