摘要： Standardized card processing modules (44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50) are mechanically and electrically interconnected to form an application specific card personalization machine. A controller (43) is coupled to a communication bus which permits the controller to download card data to the card processing modules and to upload status information from the card processing modules. Each one of the card processing modules performs a different encoding or personalization function under the control of local processor.

摘要： A card output hopper apparatus (20) sorts and stacks cards (82) on to various card trays (42, 44). A roller and deflector arrangement (36) deflects cards toward card trays (42, 44) and drives the cards onto the trays (42, 44). Cards also pass through a slot in a deflector (102) having three receiving positions to a second deflector (104). The second deflector (104) and tray (118) provides for further sorting and additional stacking capacity. The cards are tensioned in the card trays (42, 44, 114, 116, 118) stacks to maintain proper card order.

摘要： An integrated card programming device for programming an integrated circuit card. The integrated circuit card programming device has a base (14), a card input platform (22), and a transport (12). The transport is operably connected to the base and rotatably mounted about a rotational axis. The transport (12) includes a transport arm (18) radially disposed about the rotational axis. A card picker carriage (26) is mounted on the transport arm (18). The card picker carriage (26) has two picker arms (84). One or more personalization stations (20) for programming an integrated circuit card are radially disposed about the transport (12). The personnalization stations (20) can program the cards to the French or ISO standards and are rotatable 180 degrees.
