摘要： The invention relates to a safety steering column (1) for a motor vehicle, which comprises a telescopic steering spindle (2) with a steering wheel-proximal upper spindle part (3) and a steering wheel-distal lower spindle part (4) and which is rotationally mounted in a jacket tube (5). The jacket tube (5) has a telescopic design and comprises a steering wheel-proximal upper tube part (6) and a steering wheel-distal lower tube part (7). The lower tube part (7) is mounted on the console (9), which can be attached to the vehicle in a fixed manner, so that this lower tube part can pivot about a first axis (10). An adjusting device comprising an adjusting element (12), which is mounted on the console (9) in a manner that enables it to pivot about a second axis (14), is provided for adjusting the height of the safety steering column (1).
