摘要： A delivery device for placing an implant or prosthesis inside a body is described. The device is useful for placing a variety of stents or implants (11) when used with a cystoscope or other visualization or placement device. An inner sheath (10) is relatively stiff and an outer sheath (12) is relatively pliable or soft compared to the inner sheath. The sheaths are assembled to a connector (15) and a positioner (20) is then inserted through the center of the assembly, the inner sheath. The implant is placed near the distal end of the outer sheath, and the assembled device with the implant is backloaded onto a cystoscope or endoscope for placement. The inner sheath may be used to tailor the stiffness or rigidity of the assembled delivery device.

摘要： Instruments for implanting a urethral sling in female patients, and a better technique for implanting the sling, are disclosed. Porcine small intestine submucosa is processed into a sturdy yet assimilable sling for supporting a urethra of a female patient. The sling is implanted using ligature carriers and sheaths to minimize contact between the sling and the vaginal and abdominal tissues of the patient. The ligature carriers are implanted into the patient via a suprapubic or vaginal route (antegrade or retrograde). The sling is then attached to the ligature carriers and is drawn into the patient through the sheaths. Then sheaths are then removed and the sling is adjusted and trimmed.

摘要： A replaceable handle (14) for side loading the proximal end of a medical device (12) therein, which is typically inserted with the operating lumen of an endoscope. The replaceable handle can side-load the proximal end of the device into the handle for added manipulation of the distal end such as in removing a stone from the kidney or ureter leading therefrom. An inner housing (52) is rotatable within an outer housing (50) of the handle to secure the medical device in the housing passageway, and is spring biased to then move proximally with respect to the outer housing, moving the inner control rod (22) of the medical device proximally to withdraw the stone basket (16) mostly into the outer cannula (24) and capture the stone (18) for removal from the patient. A push button (70) in the proximal end portion (68) of the inner housing (52) is depressible to permit insertion or withdrawal of the proximal end (34) of the inner control rod (22) of the stone retriever (12) within the inner housing, and is releasable to secure the inner control rod in the handle.
