By limiting the forward pivoting movement of the trigger, the novel construction of the trigger sprayer prevents the trigger from engaging against the nozzle assembly attached to the sprayer housing of the trigger sprayer and potentially dislodging the nozzle assembly from its attachment to the trigger sprayer housing.

摘要： The present invention pertains to the construction of a manually operated trigger sprayer in which the sprayer housing has a reduced diameter dimension liquid discharge passage to increase the velocity of liquid flow through the liquid discharge passage, and in which the nozzle assembly has a novel configuration that securely attaches the nozzle assembly to the sprayer housing to prevent the increased velocity of liquid flow through the sprayer housing liquid discharge passage from dislodging the nozzle assembly from the sprayer housing. The novel construction of the sprayer housing and the nozzle assembly includes a resilient crossbar provided on the sprayer housing that crosses over the liquid discharge passage and a pair of resilient flanges on the nozzle assembly that engage over opposite sides of the sprayer assembly crossbar and securely attaching the nozzle assembly to the sprayer housing.

摘要： A trigger sprayer is provided with a passive venting system of simplified and inexpensive construction. A gas permeable, liquid impermeable membrane is positioned over a vent opening in the trigger sprayer housing and prevents the leakage of liquid from a container attached to the trigger sprayer, while allowing the venting of air from the exterior of the trigger sprayer to the container interior. The membrane is secured to a vent opening wall of the sprayer housing that is positioned coplanar and continuous with an annular surface of the sprayer housing. This enables the use of a single flat gasket to seal around the vent opening and seal between the trigger sprayer and the liquid container attached to the trigger sprayer.

摘要： A hand operated liquid dispenser has a simplified, in-line construction that reduces the number of component parts of the dispenser and thereby reduces the dispenser's manufacturing costs. The in line construction of the liquid dispenser coaxially aligns a liquid discharge orifice, a liquid discharge passage, and a pump chamber of the dispenser. The construction provides a compact liquid dispenser that can be easily held in one hand by a user and manipulated by the fingers of the user's hand to pump liquid from a bottle attached to the liquid dispenser and dispense the liquid in a variety of different discharge patterns.
