摘要： The present invention discloses a flame retardant formulation comprising tetrabromobisphenol A bis(2,3-dibromopropyl ether) (FR-720) particles in a liquid carrier, wherein the particle size of at least 50 % of said particles (d50) is smaller than about 50 microns. Furthermore, the present invention discloses a flammable textile fabric, coated by a flame retardant film comprising FR-720 particles which are substantially homogeneously dispersed in or on the flammable textile fabric, and further of a process of preparing these flame retardant formulations and of a process of applying these formulations onto a flammable textile fabric.

摘要： Novel smoldering suppressing compositions containing a metal complex of ammonium superphosphoric acid and having a high phosphate content, and processes for their preparation, are disclosed. Further disclosed are formulations containing these compositions and articles-of-manufacture having these formulations applied thereon. These novel formulations are particularly effective as smoldering suppressants for textiles, and are characterized by a high washing fastness.

摘要： A process for preparing halogen-substituted aryl phoshonates reresented b formula (I) : wherein each Hal independently represents halogen; k is 1 or 2; n is an integer between 1 and 5, inclusive; m is an integer between 1 and 3, inclusive; and R is a straight or branched C1-C5 alkyl group which may be optionally substituted with one or more halogen atoms, which process comprises reacting under heating a compound represented by the following formula: wherein X is a leaving group, with trialkyl phosphite of the formula (RO) 3 P, wherein the product of Formula I is produced and maintained in a liquid form and functions as an indigenous reaction liquid medium for suspending or dissolving the reactants, wherein the temperature of the reaction mixture is not less than the melting temperature ofsaid compound of Formula I during at least a portion of the reaction time, and recovering the product of Formula I n a liquid form.
