摘要： A sliding binocular body has two optical assemblies (5, 7) which slide on an intermediate plate (9) to adjust the intraocular distance. Two shells (19, 21) are joined to form one assembly. Front and back contour plates (61, 65) cover the assembly. A field and eye lens holder (71) slides into the box through the back plate. Inward horizontal surfaces having inward extending rails (31, 33) which engage outward facing grooves (35, 37) on the intermediate plate. The two shells are secured together and joined to the intermediate plate before mirrors are slid and clamped into places. Objective lens holders formed in the assemblies permit vertical and horizontal adjustments of objective lenses before their fixing. The intermediate plate has vertical projections (56, 57) on opposite ends which fit into the recesses (51, 53) in the inward surfaces of the assemblies (5, 7) to limit the outward travel and to hold the assemblies in closed positions.
