摘要： The invention relates to an aqueous polysilicate composition comprising i) particles of polysilicate seeds, ii) polymerised silicate in intimate association with the polysilicate seeds, iii) cross linkages within the polymerised polysilicate formed from aluminium atoms, aluminium compounds or aluminium ions, iv) cross linkages within the polymerised polysilicate formed from atoms, compounds or ions of a multi-valent metal other than aluminium. Preferably the aqueous polysilicate composition further comprises component v) a water-soluble branched anionic polymer that has been formed from ethylenically unsaturated monomers. The invention also incorporates a method for preparing an aqueous polysilicate composition and also to the use of the aqueous polysilicate composition as a retention/drainage aid in a process of making paper or paperboard.

摘要： The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing paper or board, wherein paper or board pulp is diluted with acidic water and wherein the pH value of the pulp is raised with an alkali simultaneously with increasing the solids content of the pulp by filtration, compression and evaporation on the wire, press and drying sections, and, at the same time, filler is precipitated from the acidic water into the paper or board structure. The invention also relates to moistening of paper or board, with a dry matter content of over 40 %, in acidic water, after which the pH value is raised with an alkali, and the paper or board is dried, or it is dried after the moistening without raising the pH value.

摘要： The present invention concerns a process of making sack paper, paper suitable for making bags or single layer kraft paper having improved porosity comprising forming a paper furnish thick stock for making sacks, bags or single layer kraft paper, diluting the thick stock to form a thin stock, flocculating the thin stock, draining the thin stock on a screen to form a sheet and then drying the sheet, in which the thin stock is flocculated by adding flocculating system to the thin stock, wherein the flocculating system comprises a synthetic polymer of weight average molecular weight at least 500,000 Daltons which is either cationic or amphoteric and a siliceous material, and in which a soluble starch is added to the thin stock or prior to the thin stock. The invention is also directed to sack paper, bag paper and single layer kraft paper manufactured by the process.
