摘要： Authenticating a host communication device which utilizes a tag, at least one of whose operative elements is a component of the host communication device, and which is used in order to establish a communication session with a second communication device. The second communication device may communicate with an authentication server for authenticating the host communication device. Authentication and testing of an electronic device inside a closed package is described. The closed package includes an extension cord for coupling the electronic device with an external power source, such that it is possible to turn on the electronic device without opening the package. Alternatively, the package includes a hole enabling the connection of an external power source to the electronic device. The electronic device may include a short range communication capability and can authenticate itself utilizing its short range communication capability while it is still inside the unopened package.

摘要： Methods of enabling a buyer to authenticate a product offered by a seller, in which the buyer notifies the seller of a desire to authenticate the product, and the seller then requests authentication of the product from a server database containing authentication data regarding said product. The server is programmed to provide the result of the product authentication only to said second party. Alternatively, the server can provide the seller with an authentication certificate which the seller can supply to the buyer. Authentication tags, such as for use in these systems, are also described where an antenna tuned to receive mobile phone transmission is connected to a capacitor and the capacitor is connected to active logic via a voltage regulator. Other embodiments disclose such tags in which a battery is connected to active logic through the control of a circuitry detecting mobile phone transmission.

摘要： An authentication system enabling a customer to verify the authenticity of a product in a foolproof, secure and simple manner. plurality of secret sets of numbers (10 ) is generated, each set comprising a challenge portion and a response portion These sets are stored on a remote server (16). Each set is associated with a different product. The customer sends a challenge portion to the server, and prompts the server to provide a response. If the response matches that of the product in hand, the product is known to be authentic. In another embodiment of the system, cellular transmission (42) is used to power an electronic tag (41) attached to the product and carrying authentication data. In a third embodiment, the full manufacturer database is divided into separate databases, possibly related to product vendor, such that an authentication process can be performed without the need to access the manufacturer's entire database of products.

摘要： A photoplethysmograph (PPG) includes a unit to measure blood flow through capillaries, a unit to measure blood flow through small blood vessels and a unit to measure blood flow through large blood vessels. Another PPG includes a multiplicity of light transmitters, each transmitting at a different wavelength and at least one photodetector to detect light from at least one of the multiplicity of transmitters after the light has reflected off elements within a body. Each the wavelength has its own penetration depth and each transmitter is geometrically placed with respect to its photodetector to create a measurement depth for its measurement arc which is close to the penetration depth for its wavelength.
