摘要： A system and a method of playing rich internet applications on remote computing devices by using a certifying player to invoke server-side web services through a single, secure, certifying intermediary server. The application player resides in the remote computing device and is configured to be executed by the remote computing device. The intermediary server is configured to communicate with the remote computing device via a network connection and to receive message requests from the application player and to send message responses to the application player. The intermediary server provides access of the RIA to the remote computing device by accessing an application server, where the RIA resides, via a single, secure and access-controlled network connection. The application player requests functionality of the RIA from the intermediary server via message requests and interprets the message responses received from the intermediary server. The message requests and responses may be Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) messages.

The consumer computing device comprises a commerce application player executable by the consumer computing device. The commerce window gateway server comprises a commerce application and a secure payment application and the commerce window gateway server communicates with the consumer computing device via a first network connection. The plurality of merchants provide product offers to the consumer computing device via the commerce application and receive payments via the secure payment application. The commerce application comprises a plurality of commerce offer managers and each commerce offer manager is associated with a specific merchant and comprises a commerce offer application that presents product offers for sale by the specific merchant. A specific commerce offer application of a specific merchant is downloaded and executed by the commerce application player in the consumer computing device and displays product offers from the specific merchant in the consumer computing device. Each commerce offer manager further comprises an offer management application used to generate product offers by the specific merchant. Each product offer is associated with a product offer identifier and a specific merchant identifier.

摘要： The invention provides a method, system, and computer program product for storing and elaborating user preferences for objects in response to a user's name. The invention associates a user's name with an entitlement eypression that includes a reference to at least one membership map having preference information regarding the preference objects and associates wihtt he preference objects a unique identifier that acts as an indey into each membership map. The entitlement expression is evaluated for the user's name to determine a list of preferred objects for that user. The evaluation includes looking up the preference objects's membership information in at least one membership map of preference using the preference objects's unique identifier. THe invention may further include at least one preferred group having a name, zero or more objects that are members of the preferred group, and membership map for determining whether a particular object is a member of the group. The entitlement expresson then refers to at least one membership map by including at least one group name in the entitlement expression.
