摘要： This application relates to methods and apparatus for pneumatically separating adhesively joined components. A pneumatic release mechanism can be positioned between the adhesively joined components. The pneumatic release mechanism can be positioned adjacent to or within an adhesive joint so that when it is filled with air the pneumatic release mechanism can exert a force on the joined components sufficient to sever the adhesive bond. In some embodiments, the joined components can be housing components. In other embodiments, the joined components can be a battery cell and a housing component.

摘要： A desktop computing system having at least a central core surrounded by housing having a shape that defines a volume in which the central core resides is described. The housing includes a first opening and a second opening axially displaced from the first opening. The first opening having a size and shape in accordance with an amount of airflow used as a heat transfer medium for cooling internal components, the second opening defined by a lip that engages a portion of the airflow in such a way that at least some of the heat transferred to the air flow from the internal components is passed to the housing.

摘要： An electronic device including a frame member suitable for use with an audio driver is disclosed. The frame member may include a recessed region that receives the audio driver. The frame member may further include a flange member surrounding the recessed region. The frame member may be formed from a material having a relatively high coefficient of thermal conductivity. Accordingly, the frame member can dissipate thermal energy (heat) generated from the audio driver. In addition, the frame member may be seated in an enclosure of an electronic device in a manner that allows the frame member to pass the thermal energy to the enclosure. Also, the frame member may include a ferromagnetic material, which may cause the frame member to direct magnetic flux from a magnet of the audio driver in a desired manner.

摘要： This application relates to a magnetically actuated fastener suitable for use within an electronic device housing having a first housing component and a second housing component. The magnetically actuated fastener can be attached to the first housing component and includes a spring-loaded magnetically attractable plunger that can be moved longitudinally within a fastener body from an engaged state to a disengaged state by applying a magnetic field through an outer wall of the first housing component. When the magnetically attractable plunger is in the engaged state, the plunger causes locking members to extend radially out of the fastener body to engage a channel defined by the second housing component.
