摘要： A system and method for conducting secure electronic transactions are provided. More specifically, a system and method are provided for conducting secure transactions utilizing tokens, such as transaction cards, such as credit cards or the like, on a computer. The computer is token-enabled, having a token reader and software in communication with itself allowing the token user to communicate with a goods and/or services provider that supports a secure on-line transaction. Moreover, a system and a method are provided for conducting secure transactions on-line with a token having a microchip embedded therein for additional security.

摘要： A system and method for securing a Radio Frequency (RF) transaction using a proxy code, which is permanently assigned to the RF identification device (RFID) transaction account number. An account issuer permanently assigns the proxy code to a transaction account correlated to the RFID transaction device. The proxy code is uploaded onto the transaction device for later use in completing a transaction request. During transaction completion, the proxy code is provided to a merchant system in lieu of any sensitive transaction account information. Since the proxy code is permanently assigned, the number need not be changed or updated once uploaded into a payment device or merchant system. Since the proxy code contains no sensitive information, the sensitive information related to the transaction account is secured from theft where the merchant system internal security measures may fail.

Entry is permitted onto a transit system by recognition of information included in an identification number stored on a financial transaction instrument. A plurality of transit system fees associated with the same identification number from use of the financial transaction instrument is aggregated, and payment for the aggregated transit system fees is requested from a transaction account associated with the financial transaction instrument.

摘要： Systems and methods are configured to manage data sets associated with a transaction instrument. For example, a method is provided for facilitating the management of distinct data sets on a transaction instrument that are provided by distinct data set owners, wherein the distinct data sets may include differing formats. The method includes the steps of: adding, by a read/write, a first data set to the financial transaction instrument, wherein the first data set is owned by a first owner; adding, by the read/write device, a second data set to the financial transaction instrument, wherein the second data set is owned by a second owner; and storing the first data set and the second data set on the financial transaction instrument in accordance with an owner defined format. The first and second data sets may each be stored as a Block of Binary. Furthermore, the first data set may be updated and/or deleted from the financial transaction instrument by the data owner or the transaction instrument user, in real-time or substantially real-time or at a later date. In another example, a financial transaction instrument comprises a data set management system for facilitating the management of more than one data set, the transaction instrument comprising at least one data storage area configured to store a first data set of a first format and a second data set of a second format different than the first format. The first and second data sets are associated with first and second owners, respectively, and are configured to be stored independent of each other. In yet another example, the data sets may be stored on a remote database under the identical arrangement as is stored on the transaction instrument.

摘要： A process for providing an RF module configured to convert a nontraditional transaction device for traditional transaction completion is disclosed. The RF module is placed in physical and logical communication with a microprocessor of a nontraditional transaction device for providing user account information to the microprocessor and for receiving data from a RFID reader (104), kiosk or personal computer. The microprocessor is configured to activate operation of the RF module prior to transaction processing. The RF module may also receive secondary identification information, such as, a PIN, voice recognition data or biometric data for secondary end user authentication. The RF module may also transmit user account data for transaction processing using a USB interface (1 18)of the nontraditional transaction device.
