    • A composition useful for activating catalysts for olefin polymerization is provided. The composition is derived from at least: carrier; organoaluminoxy compound; component having at least one electron withdrawing group and at least one active proton; and Lewis base. Alternatively, the composition is derived from at least: carrier; organoaluminoxy compound; component having at least one electron withdrawing group and at least one active proton; and ionic compound having at least one active proton.     • A polymer is formed continuously from at least one polymerizable aliphatic 1-olefin in a continuous polymerization process. Concurrently a catalytically-active, prepolymerized, self-supported olefin polymerization catalyst composition is being formed at the same plant facility or in a facility in proximity to the facility in which the continuous polymerization process is being performed. Catalyst from the prepolymerization facility is continuously or substantially continuously fed to the continuous polymerization process. The prepolymerization is conducted using: i) a polymerizable vinylolefin and ii) at least one metallocene of a transition, lanthanide, or actinide metal, and at least one aluminoxane, and/or at least one reaction product of at least one metallocene and at least one aluminoxane. The metallocene or at least one of the metallocenes has in the molecule prior to prepolymerization at least one polymerizable olefinic substituent.
