    • A fiber optic cable assembly includes a connector and a fiber optic cable. The connector includes a housing having a first axial end and an oppositely disposed second axial end. A ferrule is disposed in the housing. A plurality of optical fibers is mounted in the ferrule. The fiber optic cable includes an outer jacket defining a fiber passage that extends longitudinally through the outer jacket and a window that extends through the outer jacket and the fiber passage. First and second strength members are oppositely disposed about the fiber passage in the outer jacket. A plurality of optical fibers is disposed in the fiber passage. The optical fibers are joined at splices to the optical fibers of the connector. A splice sleeve is disposed over the splices. The splice sleeve is disposed in the window of the outer jacket.

    • The present disclosure relates to a drop cable assembly including a fiber optic drop cable having a length that extends from a first end of the fiber optic drop cable to an opposite second end of the fiber optic drop cable. The fiber optic drop cable also includes an intermediate location located between the first and second ends of the fiber optic drop cable. The drop cable assembly also includes a first fiber optic connector mounted at the first end of the fiber optic drop cable and a second fiber optic connector mounted at the second end of the fiber optic drop cable. The drop cable assembly further includes an optical fiber that extends continuously without splicing along the length of the fiber optic drop cable from the first fiber optic connector to the second fiber optic connector. The fiber optic drop cable has a first cable segment that extends from the first end of the fiber optic drop cable to the intermediate location and a second cable segment that extends from the intermediate location to the second end of the fiber optic drop cable. The first cable segment is more robust than the second cable segment and the second cable segment being more flexible than the first cable segment. The present disclosure also relates t methods and arrangements for mechanically attaching fiber optic connectors to drop cables of the type described above.

    • The present disclosure relates to a fiber optic network including a fiber distribution hub having a cabinet, an optical splitter within the cabinet, a hub termination region within the cabinet, a signal input location and an output cable connection location. The fiber optic network also includes a fiber distribution terminal including a terminal housing, a terminal termination region and a terminal spool. The fiber optic network further includes a wall box having a wall box enclosure, a fiber optic adapter positioned at the wall box enclosure and a wall box spool. A first fiber optic cable is wrapped around the terminal spool. The first fibe optic cable interconnects the fiber distribution terminal to the output cable connection location of the fiber distribution hub. The terminal spool rotates about first axis to allow the first fiber optic cable to be dispensed from the terminal spool. A second fiber optic cable is wrapped around the wall box spool. The second fiber optic cable is optically connected to the fiber distribution terminal. The wall box spool rotates about a second axis to allow the second fiber optic cable to be dispensed from the wall box spool.
