    • The invention relates to a charging arrangement (1) for charging of electric vehicles, comprising a charging connector (2) and a charging cable (3), wherein the charging connector (2) comprises a connector body (4) with a first zone (5) and a second zone (6), the first zone (5) and the second zone (6) being separate from each other, the first zone (5) of the connector body (4) hosts a mating interface (7) with electrical contacts (8) for mating the charging connector (2) with a corresponding socket of an electric vehicle, the electrical contacts (8) being galvanically coupled to the charging cable (3), and the second zone (6) of the connector body (4) comprises a tube (9) in which the charging cable (3) is guided from an opening (11) of the tube (9) which is arranged on that side of the second zone (6) of the connector body (4) which is faced away from the first zone (5) of the connector body (4) to the electrical contacts (8) which are located in the first zone (5) of the connector body (4), and a handle (10) for grabbing the charging connector (4) with a human hand, the handle (10) being separate from the tube (9). According to the invention, the second zone (6) of the connector body (4) is Y-shaped wherein the tube (9) is formed by one upper leg and the lower of the Y and the handle (10) is formed by the other upper leg of the Y. In this way, a charging arrangement (1) for charging of electric vehicles is provided which is easy to use while showing high resistance to mechanical damage.

    • The invention relates to a system (7) for ensuring a defined position (6) of a charging connector (3) for electrically charging an electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle in a charge-free time when an interface (8) of the charging connector (3) is not connected to the vehicle and/or for determining the mechanical condition of said charging connector (3), especially the interface (8), the system (7) comprising: a signal transmitter (11), a corresponding signal detector unit (12) for detecting the signal of the signal transmitter (11), and a holder (5) for holding the charging connector (3) in the defined position (6), and/or a detector device (12') for detecting an orientation and/or movement of the charging connector (3) in an environmental coordinate system, wherein the system (7) is arranged for detecting the presence of the charging connector (3) in the defined position (6) and/or for determining the mechanical condition of the interface (8) or a housing of the charging connector (3) via the signal of the signal transmitter (11) as detected by the signal detector unit (12) and/or a comparison between the orientation and/or movement of the charging connector (3) detected by use of the a detector device (12') and a corresponding orientation and/or movement of the charging connector (3) to be expected when the charging connector (3) is in the defined position (6). The further invention relates to a corresponding charging device (1) for electrically charging an electric or hybrid vehicle and a corresponding method for ensuring a defined position (6) of a charging connector (3) for electrically charging an electric or hybrid vehicle in a charge-free time when the charging connector (3) is not connected to the vehicle.
