摘要： Disclosed are hydrates of tertiary alkanolamine salts of formula (I): wherein R is hydrogen or the CH 2 CH 2 OH group, X is -HN + R 1 R 2 R 3 wherein R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are selected from the group consisting of straight or branched C 1 -C 6 alkyl groups, C 3 -C 6 cycloalkyl groups, straight or branched C 1 -C 6 hydroxyalkyl groups, and C 3 -C 6 hydroxycycloalkyl groups, and wherein at least one of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 is a straight or branched C 1 -C 6 hydroxyalkyl group, and the number of moles of hydration water n is an integer from 1 to 80. The compounds according to the invention, especially the aqueous solutions thereof, are useful as whitening agents.
