摘要： A cold shrink protective cover for a cable junction including a first cable (18) having a first outer diameter and a second cable (16) having a connection to the first cable (18). The second cable (16) has an outer diameter that differs from the outer diameter of the first cable. When shrunk around a cable junction the protective cover comprises a first shrinkable tubular member (24), covering a portion of the first cable (18) and a portion of the connection, and a at least a second shrinkable tubular member (26) covering a portion of the second cable (16) and extending over the connection to at least partially cover an end portion of the first shrinkable tubular member to form an overlapped seam between the two tubular members.

摘要： An elongate continuous material web is disclosed that includes a plurality of adjacent tabs arranged in a longitudinal direction of the web with connection regions between adjacent tabs. Each connection region includes three or more incisions that extend in the transverse direction of the web and are arranged in a manner such that at least one extensible connection member, extensible in the longitudinal direction of the web, is formed. At least one incision forms a side incision that travels through one longitudinal edge of the web, and at least one incision forms a further side incision that travels through the other longitudinal edge of the web. Also disclosed are a method for making such a web, a method for manufacturing a tab from such a web, a method for manufacturing an absorbent hygiene product with the help of such a web, and a cutting device to produce such a web.

摘要： A method of making a mechanical fastener and a reticulated mechanical fastener (10c) are disclosed. The method includes providing interrupted slits through a material having upstanding posts or loops, the interrupted slits being interrupted by at least one intact bridging region (22); spreading the slit material to provide multiple strands (26) separated from each other between at least some of the bridging regions (22) to provide at least one opening (24); and fixing the multiple strands in a spread configuration. The reticulated mechanical fastener can include multiple strands of a backing attached to each other at bridging regions in the backing and separated from each other between the bridging regions to provide openings. In some embodiments, upstanding posts (12) on each of the multiple strands have bases attached to the backing, and each of the multiple strands has a width that is greater than that of the bases of its attached upstanding posts.
