    • A joining device and a joining method by pulse energizing capable of reducing a pressure on joining members without causing time lag even if joining members are thermally expanded by a rise in temperature at the joining, and obtaining a joint body without compromise in accuracy. A joining device by pulse energizing comprising a pair of electrodes (2) having elasticity and supplying a pulse current to joining members, a pulse current generator (3) supplying a pulse current to the electrodes, and a pressurizing means (4) for pressurizing the electrodes. A joining method by pulse energizing in which the joining surfaces of joining members are allowed to abut against each other, a pair of electrodes having elasticity are applied to the joining members in an arbitrary direction thereof while the abutted joining surfaces are pressurized with a specified pressure so as to be in close contact with each other, and a pulse current is supplied to the joining members only to join them.
