    • Disclosed are a method and apparatus for display screen light brightness adjustment. The apparatus includes a display screen (170) with a screen light (180) having a brightness value. One or more sensors (110, 112, and 114) are disposed in the apparatus to measure ambient light and to measure one or more parameters indicative of a presence or absence of reflection (190) of the screen light (180) to the display screen (170), wherein the reflection (190) contributes to the ambient light measurement. The apparatus may further include a processing module (160) coupled with a sensor module to adjust or cause to be adjusted the brightness value of the display screen light (180), based at least in part on the measurements of the ambient light and the parameters indicative of presence or absence of reflection (190) of the screen light (180) to the display screen (170).

    • Various systems and methods for controlling a touchscreen user interface are described herein.A system to comprises a proximity sensor;a touchscreen; a proximity sensor driver to interface with the proximity sensor;a touch sensor driver to interface with the touchscreen;and a user interface manager module to: receive an event signal indicating that a user interface action has been initiated; access a delay timer for the user interface action,the delay timer set based on events received by at least one of the proximity sensor driver or the touch sensor driver;and execute the user interface action when the delay timer is expired.
