摘要： Apparatus and methods for removably mounting an optical sighting device such as a telescopic sight (20) to a firearm (12). In one embodiment, the apparatus may include a front mounting assembly (80) and a rear mount assembly (30). A first mounting member (32) that is attachable to the firearm (12) and shaped to support a portion of the optical sighting device (20) therein. A second mounting member (50) is pivotally, movably or removably coupled to the first mounting member (32) and is selectively movable between a first position wherein the optical sighting device (20) may be supported between the first mounting member (32) and the second mounting member (50) and a second position wherein the optical sighting device (20) may be removed from between the first and second mounting members (32, 50). A windage adjustment member (58) may be supported on one of the first and second mounting members (32, 50) and an elevation adjustment member (56) may be supported on one of the first and second mounting members (32, 50). A resilient support member (40) may also be supported on one of the first and second mounting members (32, 50). A telescopic sight (20) that has reticle with crosshairs and a circle whose center coincides with the center point of the crosshairs is also disclosed.
