摘要： Systems for containing a fluid leaked from a pipeline include a flexible, impermeable liner such as like those comprising a coated substrate (or other impermeable liner or material) and disposed to extend along a trench for enveloping the pipeline deployed therein; and separating means disposed between the pipeline and the containment liner for containing the fluid therein; wherein the liner prevents migration of the fluid into the trench of the pipeline or surrounding environment by flowing the fluid laterally within the containment liner, system also protects the steel pipe from corrosion caused by the environment, such as groundwater. Methods for deploying the above systems are provided.

摘要： A pipeline system is provided for a pumping system for fluid products, such as gasoline, diesel fuel and chemicals, and including a pump (12) for pumping such products from a storage tank (10) through the primary pipeline (30) of the pipeline system to a product dispenser (18). The pipeline system includes a secondary contanment system for the primary pipeline between the tank and dispenser which includes telescoping pipe sections (32a, 32b) of different diameters. The telescoping piping is installed around the primary pipeline (30) and the pipe sections are, prior to final installation, movable between intermediate and final positions, for enabling completion, testing and inspection of the primary pipeline prior to final completion of the secondary containment system. One section of the telescoping piping is a flexible corrugated pipe (42) which is able to bend around elbows. Compression seals and ring clamps (42a, 42b) are used to connect the components together.

摘要： A system for leak detection and containment is disclosed. The system comprises an impermeable containment casing comprising of a solid extruded material wherein the containment casing encompasses a pipeline deployed therein. The system may further comprise a plurality of separating strips to create an annulus between the pipeline and the containment casing forming one or more flow channels, such that during a leak material leaked from the pipeline flows along a predetermined direction within the one or more flow channels. The containment casing prevents movement of the material leaked from the pipeline to an environment external to the casing. The system may further comprise a plurality of sensors to provide notification of the leak to a user device.

摘要： An underground secondary containment system (A) that is preassembled to a large extent at a manufacturing site prior to shipping to the site of installation. In this manner, the time expended at the site of installation in installing the underground secondary containment system is reduced. The underground secondary containment system (A) includes a double walled fuel storage tank (B) having isolated adjoining compartments (2, 4) for storing two different grades of fuel. A pair of dispenser sumps (C, E) are mounted on the fuel storage tank at opposite ends thereof. A pair of tank sumps (D, F) are mounted on the fuel storage tanks above the corresponding compartments. Each tank sump (D, F) is connected to each of the dispenser sumps (C, E) via flexible piping (12) which extends along the exterior of the fuel storage tank. In this manner, two different grades of gasoline can be provided to each dispenser (C, E) without utilizing piping disposed internally of the fuel storage tanks. The provision of separate tank sumps (D, F) which are not located below above ground dispenser units permits ready access to the pump (6, 16) and associated fittings.
