摘要： A screen clamp with integrated center feed is disclosed. The screen clamp may be rotatably mounted in a continuous centrifuge. The screen clamp may comprise: a feed cone having a base and sidewall, wherein a center of the base has a feed opening and the sidewall has one or more discharge openings; and an outer flange attached to and extending along a bottom edge of the feed cone, wherein the outer flange is configured to secure a basket filtering screen of a continuous centrifuge to a basket. The screen clamp may be configured to direct a massecuite feed entering the feed opening through the one or more discharge openings and onto the basket filtering screen. The screen clamp may also comprise a weir.

摘要： An industrial centrifuge (10) for extracting one or more compounds from biomass includes a centrifuge basket (100) disposed within a cylindrical vessel (20). The centrifuge basket (100) includes a cylindrical sidewall comprising an upper perforated portion (320) and a lower solid portion (330) and a basket baseplate (350) coupled to the sidewall between the upper perforated portion and the lower solid portion. The centrifuge includes a spindle (70) coupled to the basket baseplate (350), a spindle bearing assembly (420), and a contact seal (440) disposed between the spindle bearing assembly and the basket baseplate. The lower solid portion of the sidewall, the spindle, and the basket baseplate define a skirted volume (354). During operation of the industrial centrifuge, air trapped within the skirted volume provides an air seal between an extraction fluid in the cylindrical vessel and the contact seal, spindle bearing assembly, or both, to prevent extraction fluid from contacting the spindle bearings and causing damage thereto.
