摘要： The present invention is a catheter assembly allowing for non-contaminated insertion of a catheter into a urinary canal. The assembly includes a package for the catheter and an applicator to be used for guiding the catheter into the urinary canal without touching the catheter by holding the catheter via walls of the applicator. The assembly further comprises clamping means for pressing the walls of the applicator into engagement with the catheter. The present invention further relates to an applicator with integrated clamping means to be used with the assembly.

摘要： A urinary catheter assembly (1) is provided. The catheter assembly has an intermittent urinary catheter (2) with low- friction surface and a tubular elongated package (3) with a side- opening (15). The catheter may be provided with a hydrophilic surface and the package may include a liquid swelling medium. The user may grab the connector (4) through the side- opening and pull out the catheter of the package through there. Spillage of the liquid swelling medium or lubricant is avoided. The side -opening may be configured so that it has two stable configurations, a storing and a folded configuration.

The package and catheter is provided with a seal restricting passage of fluid between the package and the catheter. The assembly allows the catheter to be used without complete removal from the package. During urination, the assembly prevents urine to flow from the outlet of the catheter and back through the package in a direction towards the user of the catheter. The seal allows the catheter to be dispensed from the package while the sealing is maintained and the assembly thus allows non-contaminated insertion and use of the catheter while the catheter is partly maintained in the package.

摘要： An anal probe (100) for use in connection with anal irrigation is provided. The probe comprises a tip (130) part and shaft (120) part, which may be separate from each other. The probe is provided with retention means (110), which together with the tip part and the shaft part define a lumen (112). The probe is further provided with a pressure-sensitive valve. The probe has two configurations, a first configuration (FIGlA) in which the inlet (136) to the tip channel is closed and a second configuration (FIG 1B) in which the inlet is opened. The transition between the first configuration and the second configuration is controlled by the pressure-sensitive valve. During use, irrigation fluid will be pumped into the lumen and the inlet to the tip channel will be opened.
