摘要： An elaborate lighter case having a vertically slidable windshield fitted around an upper portion of the lighter case body and designed so that letters or figures appear on the outer surface of the windshield due to the heat of the flame of the lighter. An object of the present invention is to provide a lighter case capable of extending and retracting a windshield smoothly, and having a windshield functioning as an advertisement attracting user's attention thereto. To achieve this object of the present invention, a semicylindrical windshield (2) of a transparent plastic resin is provided at an upper portion of a lighter case so as to cover a flame ejection port, and grooves (8) are formed in side edge portions of the windshield (2) to fit the windshield (2) slidably around a part of the lighter case (1), a substance (10) having temperature-indicating characteristics being printed on, applied to or pasted on the outer circumferential surface of a semicylindrical metal plate (9) attached to the inner side of the windshield (2). Since the present invention employs the above-mentioned arrangement, the windshield (2) can be extended and retracted easily by the thumb. While the lighter is in use, the letters or figures can be displayed in relief on the windshield (2) by the heat from the flame to attract the attention of the user.
