    • A dielectric based antenna provides for relatively wide band communications. In this regard, the dielectric based antenna may provide communications across a variety of mobile telephone communication types and frequencies, such as GSM850, EGSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900, and UMTS. In one embodiment, the dielectric based antenna includes a dielectric element and at least first and second antenna elements. The dielectric element may be configured into a volumetric shape from a material with a relatively high permittivity. The first and second antenna elements are respectively wrapped about first and second portions of the dielectric element and may provide for respective first and second frequency bands of the dielectric based antenna. An antenna feed port couples the dielectric based antenna to a communication module via an antenna feed such that radio signals may be transmitted and/or received through the dielectric based antenna.

    • An attachment means for clamping two preferably rod-shaped sections (1A, 1B) to each other, so that the sections are secured with respect to each other partly against displacement in the longitudinal direction of the sections (1A, 1B), partly in an optional angular position with respect to each other. The attachment means consists of two wedge-shaped clamping members (6A, 6B), which by means of a through screw (4) and a nut (5) are tightened towards each other thereby exerting a wedging influence on two objects (1A, 1B) to be connected with each other. Resulting wedging forces are taken up as a traction force within two, preferably hook-shaped attachment members (3A, 3B), which are supported by the screw (4) and are retainingly engaged with the objects (1A, 1B) to be connected with each other. Rigid, resilient gaskets (7) are arranged between the clamping members (6A, 6B) and on opposite sides of the attachment members (3A, 3B) which overlap each other. When the clamping members are tightened together the resilient gaskets (7) exert a clamping force on the attachment members under the influence of which said attachment members are secured in angular position with respect to each other. The clamping members (6A, 6B) preferably consist of frustoconical solids of revolution made of rigid plastic material.
