    • An arrangement for exhaust gas recirculation and turbocharging for an internal combustion engine comprising a low-pressure turbocharger (3) and a high-pressure turbocharger (4), an exhaust gas recirculation duct (5) having its starting point in an exhaust gas duct (2) upstream from the turbine (4a) of the high-pressure turbocharger(4)and its end point in an air intake duct (1) between the compressors(3b, 4b)of the turbochargers (3, 4), a control valve(6)for controlling the amount of exhaust gas to be recirculated, and a cooler (7) for the in take air located in the air intake duct (1) between the compressors (3b, 4b) of the turbochargers(3, 4). The arrangement also comprises a scrubber (10) for cleaning the recirculated exhaust gas before the exhaust gas enters the compressor (4b) of the high-pressure turbocharger(4). The invention also relates to a method for exhaust gas recirculation and turbocharging.
