摘要： A port device (10) for processing control, e.g. venting, feeding, co-feeding, additional mixing, etc., when operating a processor for a viscous material, such as a heated polymer composition, typically an extruder; the port device comprises: (i) an enclosure (11) encompassing an elongated and preferably cylindrical cavity (13) extending along a longitudinal and vertical axis (A); the cavity (13) has an axially open first end (101), a second end (109) opposite the first end, and an outlet (102) near the second end; (ii) an elongated rotor arranged within the cavity (13) for rotation in an essentially coaxial alignment with the longitudinal axis of said cavity; (iii) drive means (14, 16) connected with the rotor for rotation thereof within the cavity; and (iv) conveying (121, 122) means for causing a stream of polymer to flow in a direction from the open and toward the closed end and through the outlet when the rotor is actuated by the drive means; the conveying means include at least one scraping flight section (122) provided on the rotor near said outlet, and at least one shearing flight section (121) provided up-stream of said scraping flight section; the viscous material is fed into the cavity through a radial inlet (103).
