    • A hermetic centrifugal separator for centrifuging components, contained in a liquid mixture and having different density, comprises a rotating centrifuge rotor (11), which is arranged to rotate around a centre axis and comprises a casing which defines an inner separation space, a set of separation discs (15) which are provided in the inner separation space of the centrifuge rotor (11), at least two channels, which connect to the separation space and comprise at least one inlet channel (13) for supply of the liquid mixture of components to be separated to the separation space and at least one outlet channel (22) for discharge of a component separated during operation from the separation space, a torque transmitting part (12) around the centre axis and fixedly connected to the centrifuge rotor (11) adapted to be driven in such a way that the centrifuge rotor (11) is brought to rotate, outlet sealing means (23) arranged to seal between the outlet channel and the rotating centrifuge rotor (11) preventing entrainment of unwanted substances. To come to terms with the pressure drop in the separator, and especially in the area of the outlet sealing the invention is characterized in that between the separation space and said outlet sealing means (23) is a pumping means (19) arranged to provide pressure to feed the separated liquid through said outlet channel (22).

    • The invention refers to a centrifugal separator for separating a product to a heavy phase and a light phase. The centrifuge rotor (1) encloses a separating space (5). An inlet channel (11) permits feeding of the product to the separating space. A first outlet channel (12) permits discharge of the heavy phase from the separating space. The second outlet channel (13) permits discharge of the light phase from the separating space. The centrifuge rotor includes a first chamber (14) for collecting the heavy phase, a heavy phase channel (18), which extends from a radially outer area (6) of the separating space (5) to the first chamber for feeding the heavy phase, and a nozzle member (20) between the heavy phase channel and the first chamber for controlled feeding. The first paring member (15) extends outwardly in the first chamber from the first outlet channel for discharge of the heavy phase. The second paring member (30) extends outwardly in the first chamber and permits during cleaning feeding of cleaning liquid from the first chamber to the heavy phase channel.

    • An entrainment device for a centrifugal rotor, which is rotatable about a central rotational axis (R), having a number of entrainment members (11;12) arranged in said space (4) for entrainment of entering liquid in the rotation of the centrifugal rotor. The entrainment device comprises a first component (14), which surrounds the rotational axis (R) and has at least one first projection (16), which has a radial extension, and a second com­ponent (15), which surrounds the rotational axis (R) and has at least a second projection (17), which also has a radial extension. The second component (15) is axially insertable in said central space (4) to a position, in which said second projection (17) is present adjacent to said first pro­jection (16). When the entrainment devices (11; 12) are in place in the central space (4), a locking member (18; 20) is applicable in releasable engagement with said projection (16; 17) so that the second component (15) is prevented from moving axially relative the first component (14).
