    • A tire pressure monitoring system for a motorcycle includes a tire valve stem mounted tire pressure gauge and an externally powerable remote display unit. The pressure gauge includes a pressure sensor, a wake circuit, a processor, and a first radio frequency (RF) module. The remote display unit includes a second RF module and a display. The wake circuit is adapted to activate the processor periodically at a predetermined interval of time and causes the processor to receive an output signal from the pressure sensor. The output of the pressure sensor is indicative of a tire pressure detected by the pressure sensor. The remote display unit is adapted to display the measured tire pressure value without any user input.

    • A sensing apparatus for measuring at least one health and fitness parameter includes at least one sensor for detecting at least one health and fitness parameter and outputting a signal representative of the parameter. The sensing apparatus includes a memory for storing data and computer instructions and a communication component configured to transmit data representative of a value associated with the at least one health and fitness parameter. A processor of the sensing apparatus communicates with the at least one sensor, the memory and the communication component. The processor receives output signals from said at least one sensor, calculates at least one health and fitness parameter based on computer instructions stored in the memory. The parameter is formatted in a human interface device (HID) compliant protocol, and provided to the communication component, which transmits the at least one HID compliant health and fitness parameter value to a remote processing device.

    • ABSTRACT A digital tire pressure gauge has a housing having a first and a second end. A port at the first end of the housing is adapted to engage with and open a needle valve of a tire valve stem. The gauge also includes a pressure sensor and a processor in electronic communication with the pressure sensor. A bleed valve is disposed in the housing and a bleed lever is in contact engagement with the bleed valve. When the port is coupled to the tire valve stem, in a first operational mode, the bleed valve is closed and an air pressure measurement is obtained. In a second operational mode, pressing the bleed lever causes the bleed valve to open and to allow air to be bled out from the tire via the pressure gauge.

    • A tire pressure gauge for attachment to a valve stem includes a wall defining a chamber having a first port adapted to sealingly engage a valve stem, a probe being mounted in the first port so as to open a valve of a valve stem sealingly engaged by the first port, a pressure sensor in the chamber, a memory, a display physically supported on the device, a processor being operatively coupled to said display, pressure sensor and memory; and code being stored in the memory and operable by the processor to: retrieve at least one value indicative of a first threshold tire pressure from the memory, determine a pressure sensed by the pressure sensor, and, cause the display to present information indicative of a relative value of the sensed value to the first threshold tire pressure.
