摘要： Provided is a piston ring with a sprayed coating which exhibits excellent wear resistance and scuff resistance and makes little attack against a mating member. Specifically provided is a piston ring which has, on the sliding surface, a sprayed coating formed by thermally spraying a mixed powder comprising an Mo powder, an Ni-base self-fluxing alloy powder, and a Cu or Cu-alloy powder as the essential components. The sprayed coating comprises, as the essential components, 50 to 80mass% of Mo, 1 to 12mass% of Cu or a Cu alloy, with the balance being an Ni-base self-fluxing alloy, and the area fraction of the Cu or Cu-alloy phase appearing on the sliding surface of the sprayed coating falls with the range of 0.5 to 15%.
