摘要： A dynamic focus voltage generator (21) is provided for a tensioned focus mask (30) of a cathode ray tube (10) of video display. The tensioned focus mask (30) includes spaced apart strands (44) and spaced apart crosswires (46) separated from the strands (44). A synchronizing signal at a horizontal deflection frequency is used for generating a dynamic focus voltage component that varies in accordance with a position of an electron beam on a screen (28) of the cathode ray tube (10). A synchronizing signal at a vertical deflection frequency is used for generating a dynamic focus voltage component that varies in accordance with the position of the electron beam on the screen (28) of the cathode ray tube (10). The time varying voltage components are combined with a direct current voltage component for producing a dynamic focus voltage between the strands (44) and crosswires (46).

The envelope further includes a faceplate panel (12) having a luminescent screen (22) with phosphor lines on an interior surface thereof. A uniaxial tension focus mask (25), having a plurality of spaced apart first metal strands (40), is located adjacent to an effective picture area of the screen. The spacing between the first metal strands defines a plurality of slots (42) substantially parallel to the phosphor lines of the screen. Each of the first metal strands, across the effective picture area of the screen, has a substantially continuous first insulator layer (64) on a screen-facing side thereof. A second insulator layer (66) overlies the first insulator layer. A plurality of second metal strands (60) are oriented substantially perpendicular to the first metal strands and are bonded thereto by the second insulator layer.

摘要： A dynamic focus voltage generator is provided for a tensioned focus mask of a cathode ray tube of video display. The tensioned focus mask includes spaced apart strands and spaced apart crosswires separated from the strands. A synchronizing signal at a horizontal deflection frequency is used for generating a dynamic focus voltage component that varies in accordance with a position of an electron beam on a screen of the cathode ray tube.
