    • An electro-optical scanning device with a stationary frame (13) and a movable body (15), which is movable relative to the stationary frame and carries an optical lens (17) having an optical axis (17a). An actuator means is provided for driving the movable body and a suspension means is provided for connecting the movable body to thestationary frame. The suspension means has a first compliant supporting structure and a second compliant supporting structure extending parallel to said first supporting structure. Each structure comprises a first fixing portion (19a1, 21a1, 21b1, 21b2) fixed to the stationary frame and a second fixing portion (19a2, 21a2, 21b1, 21b2) fixed to the movable body. The first supporting structure extends in a first plane being perpendicular to the optical axis of the optical lens and the second supporting structure extends in a second plane being parallel to the first plane. The second fixing portion (19a2, 21a2) of the first supporting structure is fixed in a first area (15a) of the movable body. In order to make the device suitable for use in decks of small height, the second fixing portion (19b2, 21b2) of the second supporting structure is fixed in a second area (15b) of the movable body, such that the optical axis of the optical lens passes through an intermediate area (15c) extending between the first and the second area.
